I’ve been terribly remiss at accepting a tonne of bloggy love from Brenda. And today I received some more wonderful bloggy love from MadMother.
So, in one tremendous post, I will gratefully receive and respond to my bloggy love awards.
Award Number One:

Brenda gave me this award… with the following instructions…
1. State 7 things about yourself
2. Pass this award to 7 bloggers.
Okey dokey…
7 things about me that you don’t know already (this could be difficult!)
1. I’m born under the sign of Scorpio. And although I do always forgive, I really don’t ever forget.
2. My fingernails and my hair grow at the most amazing speed. I’m constantly trimming my nails.. although my hair just grows wild. (Wow… I’m sure you’re SO MUCH better equipped for life with that information. Sheesh.)
3. I appeared on a dating programme (“Perfect Match”) in 1983. I was the single, choosing from 3 guys, and won a trip to Singapore. We were interviewed upon our return and absolutely detested each other. It made for interesting telly. I may, under the influence of alcohol, convert the video to mp3 and upload it to the ‘nets one day in the far-far-away future, but I doubt it.
4. I make an effort everyday to live in the moment, and not in the past or in the future. I’ve learned from experience that we cannot predict the future, and it’s a massive waste of energy and time worrying about what “could” happen.
Oh I’m struggling here…
5. I love James Taylor, and I went see him last night at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. I’m sure I’ve blogged this before, but my eldest brother gave me my first JT album for my 11th birthday. And I’ve been hooked ever since. I can’t tell you how excited I was to be seeing him performing live again. Although I felt a little like “Nellie No-Friends” as I went all on my lonesome. I guess I just haven’t found any other JT fans.
Anyway, will post more about the concert later. It was AWESOME!
6. As much as I love my blog, and my bloggy friends, I sometimes feel quite intimidated by the amazing talent “out there”. I am aware that my blog is a bit of a “car crash blog”…. in that it’s something that you almost have to keep reading, despite your best instincts, because you just have to see what terrible thing happens next. In light of that, I have a slew of posts planned which have absolutely nothing to do with DH. Hmmm…. I wonder what that will do to my readership!
7. I have been suffering from my depression lately. I’ve not been sleeping well at all, and have been struggling to find the energy to function throughout the day. This is partly because of the latest DH drama (which I haven’t blogged) and partly because my dear friend is also struggling right now. I will, however, get through it, as always.
Award Number Two:
…. given to me first by Brenda, and then by one of my newest besties on the ‘net…. Madmother.
Rules:
1. Thank the person that nominated you; link to the person that gave you the award.
2. Pass this award on to 15 bloggers you’ve discovered and think are fantastic.
3. Contact said blogs and let them know, they’ve won.
4. State 7 things about yourself.
Well, I am SO thrilled to thank Brenda and Madmother!! I am such a lazy award-receiver usually. This time I’m thrilled to have something to write about that isn’t DH.
I’m going to cheat here and combine my award recipients and give them BOTH of the awards!!
And I’m also going to cheat and say that the 7 things about me that I wrote above will have to do for this one too.
DIVINE bloggers that I am passing these TWO awards to….
1. SuperSarahWhite… @ theSuperWhites
2. Lara @ DiscoKnitter
3. Blue @ BlueJeuls
4. Ali – Three Times Kewl
5. Ali – Callapipper Tree
6. Kim – FrogPondsRock
7. Frogdancer – Dancing with Frogs
8. Ratz – WhatcanIsay
9. Kim – Allconsuming
10. Le – BeyondWhoopWhoop
11. Jennie – Copenhagen Follies
12. Amelia – Duyvken
13. Sarah – MyDiary
14. Carleen – Windscreamers
15. Lani – MissyBoo

Fe,
You are an absolutely super person and don’t forget it. Without you where would your boys be? I think of these things when depression hit me. Like how much I love flowers. Gorgeous single roses or simple cut daisies. I simply love life and though it has been hard I would not change it for the world. I love making children’s clothing. I no longer have little ones to sew for so I’ll sew and sell online when I retire. I look forward to the future. To see what comes next for my children. And photography – the faces and simple poses…..oh fantastic they are! I love your blog and your boys are the best. Have a good day all day long. Take a walk…..really see all that is around you. I watch for your posts to find out how you are not to look for the latest train wreck in your life. I have to admit though that I love it that you let us into your real life. Thank you. -
awww thanks Fe !

Sorry to hear that your depression has been bothering you again. I have only a “big picture” idea of Australia’s weather, but aren’t you heading into autumn now? That’s when I start feeling depressed again-it’s only been a month or so since my life started getting brighter and I’m more active. Concentrate on the good things, like your great awards!
