So glad there is some good news on your friend. Not much new here. Finally (after 2 years of it sitting in a box) I am playing around with the 2.8 70-200 lens. It sure makes a difference in low light (as in the R2 pic). I bought a new monopod because my never used one was broken. I am packing and re-packing for upcoming Mexico trip as I change my mind re carry-on or checking bags. I will definitely check a bag on the way home. Because of the Christmas day aborted terrorist attack over Detroit, the airline is waiving the checked bag trip out of Mexico because they want you to check bags. My cat sitter friend and her daughters came over today to meet R2 (she has been so busy that she hadn't yet been over to meet him). He was charming, of course and the girls had fun playing with him. I finally got back out on a tennis court yesterday. My football team won on Christmas day which has all kinds of good implications for the playoffs. Too boring, I know.
